Civionics has assembled a multi-disciplinary team with vast experience and expertise in structural engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, wireless networking, and information theory. This team includes the pioneers of the wireless structural monitoring field, looking to translate the current state-of-the-art in wireless sensing to meet the pressing needs of today’s commercial engineering landscape.  Collectively, the team has more than 35 years of technical and deployment experience in wireless monitoring technology.

Over the past decade, the Civionics team has successfully installed wireless monitoring systems in civil engineering laboratories at the University of Michigan, Stanford University, the University of Minnesota, the University of California – San Diego, and at National Taiwan University, among others. The team has also successfully implemented wireless monitoring systems on long-span bridges in New Mexico, Michigan, California, Korea, and Taiwan, and has been successful in using wireless sensing technology to monitor wind turbines, naval vessels, and theater balconies.
